From the Kingston Whig Standard, August 14th, 2015 The Ontario government is looking to take talented people and needed services and putting them in a centralized place within new and established community hubs. On Tuesday, Karen Pitre, the premier's special adviser and chair of the Community Hub Framework Advisory Group, released Community Hubs in Ontario: A Strategic Framework and Action Plan. The report defines a community hub as a "central access point for a range of needed health and social services, along with cultural, recreational, and green spaces to nourish community life." The community hubs can be located in anything from a library, school or church to a seniors centre or any neighbourhood centre or other public space that offers co-ordinated services such as education, health care and social services.…
